The Crime of the Century and My Wellness Overview

I would say that my physical well-being is a 7.  I love to exercise, so I feel like I stay pretty healthy and fit, but not a lot since starting school a year ago.  It is also very difficult to get healthy food options throughout the winter, so I am excited to start getting fresh produce from the farmer's market.  I am also looking forward to running again.  It is my "stress reliever"!
My spiritual well-being would be an 8.  I am a strong Christian believer, and I try to incorporate this into my entire life.  Unfortunately, I am unable to get to church as much as before school started, so again I hope to start going more frequently after graduating.
The psychological well-being gets a score of 7 - only because I am completely overwhelmed with work, school and family.  Once school is over, I will be able to dedicate more of my time to my rugrats and husband so that I can feel like a mother and wife again.
My goal for each of these areas is to begin running, go to church, and graduate!

I have to say that I am beginning to really enjoy these exercises.  It really does relax me and help me to feel less overwhelmed and stressed about all the things that are needing my attention.  I liked when he had me think about colors and being centered.  I have heard that certain colors calm and relax you.  I enjoyed feeling  like I have a meaningful purpose and my goal is very realistic and obtainable!

  1. Wow, seems like you have some really good numbers. Like we say there is always room for improvement however if you are happy with yourself and what you've accomplished that is good enough! Sometimes it is difficult to get a good work out in when we are super busy with school, work, and home life but taking 15 minutes out of the day by doing jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups can really help raise the heart rate and boost metabolism. As busy as our lives can get it is also important to take time out for ourselves. Sometimes I like to go see a movie by myself or walk to the park and just sit and relax in the sun. It helps clear the mind and feel rejuvenated. It was great to meet you. Maybe you can help me find more of my spiritual side as I am struggling with that the most.

  2. I too have had to miss a few church services since I started school. I am so glad that I will graduating in October....which can't get here fast enough. My husband and daughter want their wife and Mommy back and I miss being able to be the person they need me to be. This plays a huge part on my psychological wellness because I feel like sometimes I am letting my family down because I have to spend so much of my time on school work. If I am not working then I am doing school work. I have a feeling you know what I am saying here.
I will pray for your success in reaching your goals.
    Blessings,
    Tennille

  3. It's amazing how much time and energy is spent worrying about how we are going to get through this school thing. I am only one more term from graduation and I am excited to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have tried to prioritize things while I have been in school, and I must admit that there have been some terms where I have not done as well as I would have liked. Sometimes you just need to accept the fact that there just isn't enough of you to go around. We just need to do what we can to get by, and make the most of our education. Good luck!

  5. Hello, those are some good ratings. I too am a Christian and I think that is a great goal; becoming more connected with the church and therefore with other people. Spiritually it can be very healing to have a supportive group to surround yourself with. Having healthy connections with others is an important piece of the integral healing experience. I deleted my first post because I spelled so many things wrong hahaha, so this is the same post; only corrected.
