Well, this is the end of the road for me..this is my very last "assignment" for Kaplan! I am excited to have my life back, but I am appreciative of the knowledge I have gained throughout college. In unit three I gave my physical wellness a 7, spiritual an 8, and psychological a 7. I don't feel that a lot has changed other than my psychological is probably an 8 because I have finished my other classes and I am much, much less stressed. I have started working towards my goals already. I have exercised twice this week and meditated once a day for about 5-10 minutes. I am using the strategies to achieve these goals. For instance, I ran three miles on tuesday and I used that time to focus on my breathing, nature, and clearing my mind. I even took my earbuds out for a while so I didn't have something distracting me. I am planning on church this sunday and I have continued to pray daily to strengthen my spiritual well being.
I have really enjoyed this course because it has taught me about the connection between mind, body and spirit. I do think my well-being has improved, although my scores have not changed much. The only thing that was difficult was finding the time to do the relaxation techniques and sticking to them throughout the week. But I think this is necessary to receive the benefits of it. I really am excited to begin incorporating this into my entire families lives and later into my patient's also. I want to counsel them on the importance of maintaining full integral health.
Thank you all for a wonderful class and I appreciate all of the great comments you sent my way. Good luck to everyone in their future endeavors.

Wow! That is so exciting Stacey! Happy graduation! I don't graduate until March of next year, I can only imagine how that is going to feel to be finally done. That's great that you are staying focused on your goal as well. Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Stacey,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that this course has taught you about the connection between mind, body and spirit. It sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Your post gives me motivation to start on my journey. I am lacking in the physical part of the journey. I cannot seem to get up and get out there and start doing some exercise or something. I find the meditations and prayers helping me spiritually and psychologically, I just need to start on the physical journey.
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!
Good luck in your future endeavors,
Maria
